Iowa Reunion Club Special Events
Throughout the year, the Iowa Reunion Club will hold three "IRC Special Events",
such as the IRC Summer Night Out, the IRC Spring WarmUp and other evenings
out. These Iowa Reunion Club special events are held on a weekday evening to allow the club members to get together for dinner and a fun night out with the other club members. The IRC Special Events are specifically designed to allow the club members to get together between the six annual Iowa Reunion Club events scheduled each and every year and as described to the left. This also gives those club members that cannot attend an annual Iowa Reunion Club event they wanted to attend the chance to get together with their fellow IRC members without waiting as long for the next annual event. The IRC members will be informed of these specially planned IRC Special Events only through their weekly e-mails sent out in the IRC OnLine Update program. If a member is not on the IRC OnLine Update program and doesn't receive update e-mails from the club, they then will receive a telephone call with the event information for the special events.
Typically the IRC Special Events have less planning involved than one of the 6 annual IRC events that need to be planned up to a year in advance. These special events are held at a lake area restaurant, and typically at a lake front restaurant when "in season" to allow members to also arrive by boat. Also with the special events, members will order off a normal menu and we will also eat as a large group in our own "IRC area", as opposed to the typical special menus/prices provided the club with an annual event. This is done to allow for no head count or the need of RSVP's by club members... Just show up, order what you want whether it is dinner, appetizers, sandwiches, dessert or just drinks... And have fun with the other IRC members. These IRC Special Events are popular with club members and we can get a good crowd at these events.
